Ellen has been a Registered Nurse for over 25 years working primarily in senior service and is a Aging Life Care Professional®. With experience in a multitude of care settings, Ellen has worked in hospitals, skilled nursing facilities, as a Visiting Nurse, and most recently she was the Resident Care Director for an Assisted Living for 9 years. Ellen has maintained a philosophy of Patient Centered Care in all settings, understanding to live that philosophy you must be aware of the patient’s goals and begin every care plan with that in mind. Ellen is also very active in the local community. She has been a volunteer in the community as a Selectman, Town Meeting Member and currently on the Preservation Commission in Danvers. She also teaches CNA classes at North Shore Community College. Ellen regularly attends meetings at The Executive Office of Elder Affairs who establish regulations for Assisted Living. She has been proactive in interacting with policy makers on the State level in hopes of ensuring that seniors in Massachusetts have the best care available. As an R.N. for over 25 years, as well as a Certified Dementia Practitioner, Beth Burridge is a highly respected senior care expert. She has worked with the elderly, with a primary focus on those who have dementia and related cognitive issues, for her entire career. Her nursing experience includes skilled nursing, home care, and assisted living with a range of responsibilities from staff nurse to management, allowing her to understand the healthcare system in varied environments. This experience gives her a unique perspective as an elder care advocate.
She has worked tirelessly to educate staff and families about the challenges faced by those suffering with dementia. Her support and communication to families who are caregivers is unparalleled in the field. She continues to facilitate caregiver support groups to help people cope and understand the challenges associated with senior care and dementia. Beth has the clinical expertise and a passionate belief that every senior deserves an advocate who understands the full spectrum of the health care system.
Additionally, Beth has been very involved in her community, having served as a town meeting member, and as a volunteer for the town parade and recycling program.
